Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s newest and largest patient care facility is the first to receive artwork through the Forward Art Initiative program. Located in Milwaukee’s Harbor District, this big, beautiful, state-of-the-art building is the anchor for compassionate, comprehensive and expert care provided to patients from across the state. From vasectomy services to gender affirming hormone therapy, birth control to STD/HIV testing, abortion patient navigation services to cancer screenings - it all happens here.

In the fall of 2023, PPWI purchased artworks that empower, uplift and reflect the vibrant diversity of our state. For almost 90 years Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin has been here for the community, providing care, no matter what. Through this pioneering art project, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin will further honor all who visit our centers today and for generations to come.

Submissions for existing artwork as well as mural proposals were accepted. Artists who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Disabled or as part of Immigrant communities were highly encouraged to apply.
