Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is purchasing empowering art from Wisconsin artists for our health centers.

At Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, we are committed to helping people live their best lives by offering non-judgmental care, education and compassion to every member of our community. The artwork we are looking for will support, uplift and empower our patients, reflecting the vibrant diversity of our state.

We chose Forward as the symbol for this art initiative because just like the figure who stands boldly in front of our state capitol building, we’re all about embracing new opportunities and ideas with open arms. Strong and confident, always moving forward, we want to honor the vital role of artists in shaping a healthy democracy. We look forward to celebrating artists from our state who are invested in enhancing the experience of every person who visits Planned Parenthood.

Through the Forward Art Initiative we will connect with Wisconsin creatives, view their artwork, buy locally produced art directly from practicing artists, and feature their art in our twenty-two health centers across the state. This program will roll out gradually, focusing on one health center at a time, region by region over the next few years.

The Water Street Health Center located in Milwaukee’s Harbor District, is the first location to receive artwork through the Forward Art Initiative. This health center is Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s newest, providing comprehensive reproductive health care to the Milwaukee area and beyond since 2018.
