Home Moons, woodcarving, 25”x19”, 2023

Home Moons is a woodcarving, which explores patterns and repetition. Moons surround the structure of a house showing the changing cycles of life and nature. Each moon is different and equally defined.

Why Water Street?

People in my life who visit PPWI tell me that they feel the most heard they’re ever felt while receiving healthcare. Affordable health care is essential. Without Planned Parenthood, my partners and I would not have been able to secure consistent birth control. I love that Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin makes people feel welcome.

For these reasons I stand with Planned Parenthood.

More about the artist:

My artistic practice is shaped by an obsession with the seasons, ever-shifting weather and reconnecting with the cycles of nature; all of which determine the pace and pattern of my work. I draw inspiration from the shipping and fishing industries, as well as the sheer wild beauty of Lake Michigan. I enjoy observing its ever-altering moods.
